- What is different about the Silver used by Little Fingers 'n' Toes?
All of our Jewellery is created using Sterling Silver which is 92.5% Silver, this should not be confused with Pure Silver (you will find most fingerprint businesses use Pure Silver, this is much softer). Our items are manufactured using ethically-mined materials.
- Which imprint finish should I choose?
There are a few options for you to pick from to finish your keepsake imprints.
The first option is a natural finish, which will give a beautiful natural imprint in your silver.
The second option is to have your imprints antiqued, this will highlight the imprint to show the finer lines and is our most popular choice.
- Delivery Charges
Delivery charges are FREE for mainland UK. Families purchasing our jewellery. All you should have to think about is how lovely we can make your jewellery!
- Is my jewellery guaranteed?
We will repair or replace manufacturing faults free of charge up to 2 years from the original date of purchase of your silver jewellery.
- How long will it take for you to send me an Impression Kit?
As soon as we receive your order we aim to send out your Impression Kit within 48 hours, this may be slightly longer during busy periods. Please allow 7 working days for the delivery of your kit.
- Is the kit easy to use?
The fingerprint kit is very simple and only takes a few minutes of your time. The impression compound is a non-toxic plastacine type material, which comes with detailed instructions and pictures for you to follow. Pop your impressions in the addressed envelope and send it back to us.
Hand and Footprint Impressions are taken using a non messy inkless wipe, as used in maternity units. These can be sent back using the addressed envelope or take a picture and email it to us.
- What if the impressions I take are not satisfactory?
There is enough moulding compound to take 2 fingerprint impressions (we will use the best one out of the 2). If for any reason you are unable to get an acceptable impression, don’t worry, just let us know and we will send you out a second fingerprint moulding kit free of charge.
Please ensure that you are happy with your impressions before returning them to us.
- How big will the print be in the finished Jewellery?
The fingerprints are a direct cast taken from the best of your impressions, so they will be approximately 15% smaller than the original. Hand and footprints are minaturised to fit perfectly with the shape and size of the item you have ordered, and are then impressed into the silver.
- What should I choose, a fingerprint, or a hand/ foot print for my baby?
For tiny babies you may wish to opt for an item of Hand or Foot print Jewellery, this will guarantee a strong and clear print.
- Can you use adult fingerprints and handprints?
Yes, as adults fingers are much larger than those of a baby and childrens, we advise you use the little finger or index finger. With handprints it does not matter how large the hand as all handprints are miniaturised down to fit your chosen item of Jewellery.
- Can you inscribe letters onto my item?
Yes, a name, date or short message can be written on the front or back of your Pendant, Charm or Keyring. The size of your pendant will dictate the number of letters possible and also where the inscription can be made.
- Is there a limit to the amount of letters I can have inscribed on my chosen piece?
If you require a longer name or a short message such as ‘with love‘, ‘for mummy‘, ‘to my grandma‘ etc. then a separate charm can be ordered. If you are not sure if the name your require will fit onto your chosen piece, then please contact us to discuss your requirements. We will write names on the back of Charms or Pendants if there is not enough room next to the impressions, this will be done at our discretion, or if requested.
- How long until I receive my jewellery?
We aim to have your order ready within 2-3 weeks of receiving your impressions back, this may be slightly longer during busy periods such as Christmas, Mothers Day and Fathers Day. If you require your order for a specific date, please put this on your order form.
- Can I purchase a Gift Voucher?
Gift vouchers are available. The voucher will be posted to the recipients address, they can then redeem the voucher by contacting us. Alternatively, you can contact us to request a Gift Voucher, this will then be sent to your or the recipients address via first class post. Vouchers are valid for 12 months from purchase date.
We are unable to give refunds on Gift Vouchers.
We take great pride in our craftsmanship and hope that you will be happy with your purchase. We will repair or re-make an item that is damaged or faulty, If in the unlikey event that we have made a mistake on your item, for example misspelt a name, please inform us within 7 days of receipt and we will remake your item free of charge. We cannot accept returns on bespoke personalised orders.
All our Jewellery is quality checked and tested before sending out, please check your Jewellery upon receipt for faults, damage or name misspelling and contact us within 7 days. We only use the highest quality findings and fittings, for extra strength, and our Sterling Silver Cufflink Fittings are specially made to order and are strength tested before sending out.
Cancellation of your personalised order cannot be made if work has already begun on your item(s).
